THE TRIUNE GOD

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the one living and true God. He is the Creator of all things and is infinite in power, love, wisdom, and goodness. God is the maker and preserver of all things both visible and invisible. He is unchangeable and eternal, yet reveals Himself to man desiring a relationship with His children who have all been made in His image.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God.  There is no way to the Father except through Jesus. He was without sin, tempted, subject to suffering, crucified and buried. God raised Him from the dead. Risen and ascended, He is alive now and God has given Him a name above every other name in creation. Jesus gives authority to all those that believe in Him. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His sacrificial and atoning death on the cross through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection after the third day, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit who is sent as a gift to the believer from the Father and the Son. He provides the ability to prophesy, cast out demons, speak in new tongues, heal the sick, and walk in the many gifts of the spirit. The Holy Spirit is the invisible third person of the Trinity and is at work in the world, church, and individual. He convicts the individual sinner of sin, righteousness, and judgement; and gives the ability to understand the Gospel leading to repentance. By the Spirit, God is present to convict the world of sin and to testify of Christ. By the Spirit, God renews, empowers, teaches, guides, comforts, and encourages His people in order to make them like Christ.

THE WORD OF GOD

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The scriptures are the written witness to Jesus Christ, the living Word (John 1). Relying on the Holy Spirit, we seek the application of God’s Word (Old and New Testament) to our lives. We recognize the Bible as the sufficient and trustworthy standard of Christian faith and practice. It is the primary and only authoritative text for the Christian.

SALVATION FROM SIN

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God for the primary purpose of glorifying, loving, and fellowshipping with Him forever. Sin is wrongdoing that transgresses against the ways of God. It has separated us from His presence, but God offers salvation and restoration through Jesus Christ. When anyone turns away from sin to believes and receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, that person is forgiven and transformed to the assurance of eternal life.

MEMBERS OF CHRIST’S BODY

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers; members of the Church, which is the universal body of Christ. We are to do the works of God, as revealed by the Holy Spirit and to share the good news of the Gospel. We believe the Church is God’s people who have responded in faith to God’s call and have received Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. A people called both to worship and serve Him for life. The Church is a united community, loved by one Father, anointed by one Spirit, ruled by one Head, Jesus Christ.
