Natalie Jarmon didn’t set out to become a prophetic artist or a psalmist. A few years ago, she was a lukewarm churchgoer tangled up in a legalistic cult, wrestling with depression, anxiety, and an addiction she never expected to develop. Today, she’s the founder of HisPourfection, an art business built on intimacy with Christ, and the voice behind worship nights, prophetic paintings, and street evangelism encounters that read like something out of the book of Acts.
What changed? Natalie will tell you it was Jesus meeting her in the middle of her mess, and a decision to stop following people and start reading the Word for herself. In this interview, Natalie Jarmon opens up about her journey out of the Hebrew Israelite movement, and how the Lord turned a season of deception into the foundation of her calling as an artist, worshipper, and evangelist.
How Did Natalie Meet Christ?
For most of my life, I was a lukewarm Christian who thought I was saved. I attended church consistently, but never stayed at one long enough to be planted. Instead, I “church hopped.” I was searching for the Holy Spirit but didn’t realize it then.
When I met my boyfriend (now my husband), he introduced me to the Hebrew Israelites—a legalistic cult that negates what Jesus did for us on the cross. I fell for it because they promote the Bible but stay in the Old Testament. We started identifying as Hebrew Israelites. My husband was raised in church himself, but later strayed because of this cult.
While under that false doctrine, I began to experience heavy oppression. I was already living with major depressive disorder and anxiety for 17 years and taking medication. The symptoms worsened. I developed an addiction to alcohol and wine that progressed, and my relationship with my fiancé became filled with constant conflict.
Eventually, I reached a breaking point where I cried out to Jesus and said, “If this is what it takes to spend eternity with You, I’ll do it, but I am miserable.”
I told Him, “I want You and I want to follow You, but I don’t know how much longer I can keep living this way.” I cried out for help and asked Him where He was and why He would leave me in such turmoil.
One evening, the Hebrew Israelites brought “news” that was detrimental to my family. They said my entire family was doomed to hell. At a trampoline park the next day, I suffered a demonic attack that caused my mind to freeze. The devil attacked my mind with fear, and I can hardly describe the feeling.
After what felt like years, I struggled to the restroom where I received a call from my aunt. She said, “Natalie, you are under a spiritual attack right now. The Lord says to stop following manmade religion.” Instantly, I felt the peace of God come over me, and the attack stopped.
From that moment, I resolved to stop following people and simply read the Bible for myself at home. I started with the Gospels, and right away, the Holy Spirit began to open the Scriptures to me. It felt as though I was reading the Bible for the very first time. I was filled with joy, as I received revelation after revelation while reading. My eyes were opened! I realized that I never truly read God’s Word for myself—even after attending so many churches.
I started exploring resources that carefully examined and refuted the teachings of Hebrew Israelites. Whenever I shared my new insights with my fiancé, he would get upset. But God is faithful and began revealing those same Scriptures to him, too. In time, I even learned how to stay silent and let the Lord work on his heart.

One day, while listening to a worship song in my car, I cried out, “Jesus!” I screamed that the name of Jesus had gotten me through every tough moment of my life: my divorce, stillbirth from my first marriage, multiple miscarriages, years of depression and anxiety, heartbreak from relationships, and trauma that could have taken me out. Even before I was born again, the name of Jesus sustained me.
I remember telling my fiancé that I was going to stick with the name of Jesus. After some time, he finally denounced the Hebrew Israelites and came back to Christ.
As the months passed and I continued faithfully reading Scripture at home, the Lord delivered me from depression and, supernaturally, enabled me to come off the medication I never thought I’d live without, along with my prescription for hypothyroidism. He even freed me from the shame of a previous abortion. Before I knew it, I had been baptized in the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues.
One of the greatest things about this story is that God used a false doctrine to draw me to Him. If I hadn’t joined that cult, I wouldn’t have started reading the Bible for myself. I would have remained the same lukewarm Christian, ignorantly thinking I was saved.
It’s true what the Bible says: the Lord turns all things to good. Romans 8:28 says, “and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” Ever since then, I have been constantly seeking the face of Jesus to deepen my relationship with Him. I turned away from religion and entered into a relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Can You Introduce Us to Your Background and Passions?
I am a prophetic artist and worshipper, and founder of HisPourfection, an art brand that will include workshops focused on exploring intimacy with Christ through art and creative expression.

I also run a Christian T-shirt brand called HisKloth. I have never been one to be infatuated with brand names.
To me, wearing name brands feels like advertising a company without receiving anything in return. When I came to Christ, there was nothing else
I wanted to represent other than Him. So I created HisKloth because I was tired of representing brands that promoted the gods and goddesses of this world instead of Jesus Christ.
Currently, my husband and I are preparing to launch a digital fitness brand focused on meal plans, workouts, and helping others live healthier lifestyles.
In the distant future, I also have goals centered around creating Christian content for toddlers, Christian cinema, and building a fashion dress line.
It’s inspiring to witness both creativity and spiritual depth in your work. How did you discover your calling as a prophetic artist and psalmist?
Before I got born again, I was furloughed from my job for an entire year during COVID. I had a lot of extra time on my hands to try things I never had time to do before. During that season, I started making shirts and began painting again (I had always been artistic; making jewelry, painting, and creating in general).
Even though I wasn’t fully in the Truth yet, I would always paint to worship music. After I was born again, my artwork took on a completely new dimension. The Holy Spirit started creating beautiful masterpieces through me. I would begin with a blank canvas, turn on worship music, and simply worship while I painted. When the painting was done, I would ask the Holy Spirit what He wanted to reveal through the art. He would show me an image, give a prophetic word, or scripture. Painting became one of the primary ways I cultivated intimacy with Christ.
As for psalmistry, after I was born again, I developed a strong interest in speaking in tongues after hearing a worshipper I stumbled on named TY Bello. She sang a song called “Good Morning Holy Ghost, Ire Ti De”. Before then, I didn’t even know what speaking in tongues was. Her worship made something inside me leap, and I couldn’t get enough. From then on, I watched so many videos on YouTube explaining tongues and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I received the gift of speaking in tongues by faith. I was at a Christian worship event and the song “What a Beautiful Name” came on. There’s a part with a beautiful piano solo, and in that moment, with my hands fully extended in worship to God, I was baptized in the Holy Ghost.
My husband looked at me in shock as these different languages flowed out from my mouth. It wasn’t until I noticed, like, “wow, my mouth is actually moving and these words are coming out,” that I closed my mouth and it stopped. Rivers of living water were flowing from my belly, and without a doubt, I had received the full manifestation of the gift of tongues. I found a Bible study group, and my call was revealed on that platform. I began to practice my gift and even started hosting worship nights with the leader of the group. Soon, I began hosting prophetic prayer and worship sessions on my social media handles.

Many are familiar with worship through music but not abstract painting. What is prophetic art to you personally?
Prophetic art is about being used as a vessel for the Lord to paint through me. What I love most is that it’s not about my talent. I’ve always been creative, but I’ve never attended art school or received any formal training. It reminds me that I am simply a vessel for Christ, and that through His power, He can accomplish beautiful things through ordinary people.
How has your relationship with God shaped the way you create?
My intimacy with Christ has steadily grown over time, because at every step of the way, I have to ask the Lord, ”Okay, what color should I use? What step should I take? What are you doing right now?” It helps me to remain childlike in faith and truly dependent on Him. He is truly the vine, and I am a branch, so I cannot do anything apart from Him.
When did you know God wanted to use your gifts to encourage others publicly?
I realized God was calling me to minister publicly when the demand for my artwork kept growing. There was a season when even strangers asked me if I offered classes or workshops. I knew it was the Lord speaking through them to me. The funny thing is, I never thought I had the capacity to teach, but God truly knows me more than I know myself. I’m reminded of the verse, “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” I knew that the Lord wanted me to create art pieces that could be hung in business offices, schools, or museums. His presence could dwell in those places, and people would encounter Him through my artwork, and demons would flee.
A memorable moment is when I made a custom art piece for someone and the Lord gave me a prophetic word for them. I delivered the piece, and later that day, the lady who purchased it messaged me and asked if I anoint my artwork. I told her I usually do, but this time I did not. She then said, “Wow, I was going to say that it smelled like the sweetest anointing oil and made my whole living room smell heavenly.”
A while later, she showed me a screenshot of a prophetic word she received previously. The Lord said that when she worshipped, He smelled something so sweet, and that touched her because the Lord let her smell what He smells when she worshipped. It was such a sweet moment.
What inspires the messages, colors, sounds, or themes that appear in your creations?
100% The Holy Spirit! I am just a vessel.
When I paint, I never know what I want to create. My art is generally abstract. I pray beforehand, and when I feel an unction to begin, I do so. I sit and wait on the Lord to see what colors He wants to use, which direction the paint should flow, which tools to use – all the while worshipping to worship instrumentals or playlists. When I listen to instrumentals, I get Scriptures or melodies in my head. When the painting is finished, I spend time quietly examining it, and the Holy Spirit often reveals what He wants to communicate through it. It is mind-blowing every time!

Along with the prophetic—God has also called you to evangelism! What has that been like?
A wild adventure! I get super excited when I think about evangelism. Spending consistent time with the Lord has prepared me for this calling.
I first discovered I was called to evangelism when God gave me a clear dream with a specific assignment. In the dream, I met a Christian family that had a cross necklace. But on the other side of the necklace was an evil eye (despite claiming that they followed Christ fully). In real life, I quickly received the interpretation of the dream when I started running into people wearing evil eye jewelry up to four times a day! I began to count the people after the ninth person because I was so flabbergasted. I started to spread the Gospel to these individuals and God gave me words of knowledge, administered healing, and set people free! I told them how the evil eye was a symbol of witchcraft and idolatry—something many of them were ignorant about, and they took it off on the spot.
The message God gave is that we’re supposed to bless people that persecute us. Many said they wore the bracelet for protection, and I exhorted them that the blood of Jesus is our peace and protection—it is sufficient for us and we do not need to return curses. I have so many stories of my evil eye adventures!
Long story short, I ended up ministering to 60 people. I never had to search for them. I always ran into them in clothing store dressing rooms, grocery stores, parks, libraries, and all the places I visited on a daily basis. The Lord truly set it all up for me, all I had to do was be obedient and open my mouth. Through that first assignment, I learned that His yoke is easy and His burden is light, and that He searches for people who are willing to be His mouthpiece.
I sat with the Lord for hours because I really just wanted Him, yet He pushed me out—a self-proclaimed introvert and asked me to warn His people who were entangled by a symbol (ironically used across many religions) and unable to enjoy a true relationship with Christ. Ever since then, I’ve had a deep passion for prophetic evangelism.
Do you have advice for young women who feel called to evangelism but experience fear or hesitation?
Start by sitting with the Lord. As you seek Him and seek His face, He will eradicate your fear. By sitting, I mean reading the Word, talking to Him, journaling, worshiping, praying, etc.
One of the biggest encouragements I can give is this: even when you go up to someone and spread the gospel, and they don’t accept it; don’t underestimate the power of a seed. It is not up to us to convict their hearts. That is the Holy Spirit’s job. What we do is to speak for the Lord and plant seeds. The person who is rude and told you to back off today may be the same person who will give their life to Christ next month. Many people’s hearts are hardened, and the Holy Spirit cannot come in. That is why we pray to turn stony hearts into hearts of flesh. The Lord may have eight people set up to preach to that person, and by the time the seventh person ministers to them, their heart will be open for the Holy Spirit to move in.
Another encouragement is that all of my encounters start with a casual conversation. I’m genuinely just myself, complimenting a shirt I like, asking someone how their day was, or saying something to make them giggle. When I go places, I make myself available, take the focus off of my phone, and look up for the treasure all around me. The treasure is the people; it is the hearts and souls God wants reconciled to Him. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
So cast down fear and walk! God is with you!

As a woman walking in multiple gifts and callings— what lessons has God taught you?
There’s a time and a season for everything. You will get to do everything that the Lord has called you to do. But it’s up to you to sit with Him and ask for direction. I will say, “Lord, there are so many things that you want me to do. What do I need to focus on this month?” If you don’t write down the God-given vision and make it plain, it will be hard to get things started. Without an agenda or a plan, you will find yourself doing many things, but not making real progress in any of them.
Focus on what the Lord is breathing on at that moment. What is He giving you grace to achieve in your present season? Once you figure that out, do that.
What would you say to creative women who feel called or gifted but afraid to fully step out?
Begin creating, writing, (or whatever it is) for an audience of one—The Holy Spirit. Remind yourself that you were intentionally designed and called to minister to specific people throughout the span of your life. As you make plans, create, and dwell in His presence, you will gradually begin to shift your focus from your fears to the people you were called to impact. The more you yield to the Holy Spirit, the more He takes over. If you’ve done all of that and fear is still holding you back, cast that spirit out!
How do you reconnect with God in seasons of spiritual dryness, discouragement, or creative block?
If your car’s check engine light comes on, you bring it to a mechanic to see what the issue is, right? If I feel any of those things, I ask the Holy Spirit to tell me what is going on with my spirit and to align me. Maybe the diagnosis is that I’m trusting in my own strength and that’s making me feel discouraged. Or, I am worrying about an issue instead of fully giving it to God. I would then repent and find scriptures to recalibrate my mind.
Similarly, whenever I feel a creative block, it often means that I’m not spending enough time waiting on the Lord. In such instances, I would need to regroup, and get back to being a Mary and not a Martha—busy with too many things.

What is your hope for women who encounter your ministries?
My greatest hope is that every woman who encounters my ministry—whether through my art, worship, or even a T-shirt—is that they would be stirred to seek Jesus. More than anything, I want them to discover that an intimate relationship with Christ is worth pursuing above everything this world has to offer.
They don’t have to chase purpose, success, or influence. When we seek Jesus first, He has a way of putting everything else in its proper place. Our relationships, work, creativity, and the way we love others all begin to reflect Him because we’re abiding in Him.
That doesn’t mean life suddenly becomes easy. We will still walk through grief, disappointment, and seasons of waiting. But intimacy with Christ gives us something the world never can: His presence. We no longer walk through life’s valleys alone. We can trust that He is working all things together for our good, even when we can’t yet see it.
If someone leaves my ministry remembering anything—I hope it’s not my artwork or my voice. I hope they leave wanting more of Jesus. Because when you truly know Him, everything else changes.
